North DMC (Delhi Municipal Corporation) Medical College is one of the total three Medical Colleges being run in India by the Municipal Corporations.

Department of Bio-Chemistry

• The department is located in the campus of Hindu Rao Hospital near OPD Block. The teaching section of Biochemistry department was established in 2013 for MBBS undergraduate course.

Facilities: TThe Department has three floors having one lecture theatre, one fully air conditioned undergraduate practical lab, one demonstration room, departmental library, seminar room, clinical sample preparation room with electrophoresis, spectrometer, clinical semi-automatic analyzers, colorimeters, flame photometers. Department has out-patient and indoor patient clinical chemistry labs and one emergency service lab .

Dr Neeta Singh ,
(Prof & HOD) MSC, Ph.D

Dr Neeta Singh received her MSc (Medical Biochemistry) in 1972 and Ph.D in Biochemistry in 1976 from Delhi, India. She joined AIIMS and retired as Prof & HOD in Nov, 2014. She served a Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship from 1979-1980 at Neurochemical Institute, Copenhagen, Denmark and from 1983-85 at Swiss Institute for Experimental Cancer Research, Switzerland. She has 39 years of teaching and research experience and has supervised number of Phd, MD and MSc thesis. She has 176 research publications to her credit. Her field of research is cancer.

Dr Pinky Garg did her MBBS from GGS Medical College, FaridKot , in 2006 batch . She did her MD (Biochemistry ) from GMC Medical College, Amritsar, in 2011. She joined NDMC Medical College and Hindu Rao Hospital in 2015 as an Assistant Professor and has a teaching experience of 6 years. She has done 4 day capsule course and workshop of teachers training programme held in MAMC Delhi. She has also done Internal Audit 4 days certificate course under guidelines of NABL. Her area of interest is Molecular Biology.
