North DMC (Delhi Municipal Corporation) Medical College is one of the total three Medical Colleges being run in India by the Municipal Corporations.

The Department of Microbiology at North Delhi Municipal Corporation Medical College was set up in August 2013. It is presently located on III floor of G Block. It has aspacious practical hall, Seminar room cum Library; Bacteriology, Mycology, Serology, Virology, Immunology, Mycobacteriology, Parasitology laboratories, Museum, media preperatiuon room.
The department caters to the teaching requirements of 50 UG MBBS & BSc MLT students. The laboratory investigations include bacteriology, Immunodiagnostics, Mycology, Mycobacteriology, Virology, and Parasitology.
Dr Preeena Bhalla did her MBBS & MD Microbiology from Lady Harding Medical College. She joined Maulana Azad Medical superannuated as Director Professor1n June2012.
She has been actively involved in teaching MBBS, MD, BDS and BSc (Hons) Nursing Courses. She has been actively involved in research in the field of STDs & HIV and has completed many research projects. She has more than 100 publications in indexed National & International Journals. She has a total of 33 years of teaching & research experience. She is recipient of State Award for meritorious doctors from Government of MCI of Delhi in 2009 & Medical Microbiologist endowment award 2009.
Dr. Ajanta Datta passed MD and MBBS from Gauhati Medical College, Guwahati. She has been working as Associate Professor DMC Medical College since 2013. Dr Ajanta Datta has more than seven years of post PG teaching experience. She has one international publication amd has 11 chapters to her name. Her field of interest is in Molecular Biology.
Dr Shweta Bhagat did her MBBS and MD (Micro) from Lady Hardinge Medical College. She joined North DMC Medical College in 2015 and has a teaching experience of over 6 years. She has 3 international publications and 1 national publication. Her area of interest is in Clinical Microbiology.
